Born and raised in Los Angeles, Samantha Hale is following in the comedic footsteps of her grandfather, Alan Hale Jr., best known as The Skipper from Gilligan's Island. Her debut album "Only Happy When It's Raining Men," released at number one on iTunes, and as a one hour visual special with Comedy Dynamics. She has been featured on "Laughs" on FOX, Hulu, Apple TV, Amazon and iHeart Radio, and has appeared at both Los Angeles and San Diego Comic Cons. She is the host and creator of "Horror Nerd," a monthly horror themed stand up comedy show based out of the Hollywood Improv, which was also filmed as her next one hour special, slated for release this fall. Samantha has produced Horror Nerd in various venues and conventions, such as Midsummer Scream, Horror Con LA, Missing at the Mortuary, The Brea Improv, Oxnard Levity Live, AllWays Cabaret New Orleans, and many more. Samantha also co-hosts The Horror Nerds Podcast, available where all podcasts are streaming.

Samantha Hale is the creator and host of “Horror Nerd,” the monthly horror-themed stand-up comedy show based out of the Hollywood Improv, which she tours as well, with a highlight of producing it on Halloween night in New Orleans. Her latest special, Samantha Hale: Horror Nerd, released in September 2025 by Comedy Dynamics. Samantha has appeared and hosted at comedy clubs nationwide as well as at more unusual locations such as Midsummer Scream and other horror conventions, San Diego and Los Angeles Comic Cons, and Missing at the Mortuary, a funeral home-turned-event space that is the subject of HBO’s docuseries The Mortician. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Samantha is following in the comedic footsteps of her grandfather, Alan Hale, Jr., best known as The Skipper from Gilligan’s Island, and her great-grandfather, Alan Hale, Sr., who played opposite Errol Flynn in classic Hollywood swashbuckler films.
